With one week left in our “call for class proposals,” the phone and the e-mail box have been a wonderful conduit of creativity.  Like years’ past, the proposals are as mixed as the fiber world itself…I’m really looking forward to creating the jury’s slide show and seeing all of the classes in one “tidy” presentation.

Last Thursday I had the pleasure of sitting down with Amelia Poole of Ecouture Textile Studio to talk about the classes she will teach in eco prints and shibori…the hours flew by and I found myself wishing that she lived right next door because I want her to be my new best friend!  Amelia embodies a wonderful mix of enthusiasm and thrill-of-discovery, tempered by earned experience…she’s living deliberately and takes her art business very seriously.  She was my perfect tonic for a mid-February energy boost!

The class proposal deadline is March 1st…have you submitted your ideas?

You can find Amelia here and you can find the Fiber College class proposal link here.

  1. Oh, my goodness! Amelia’s work is stunning. There was SUCH buzz about Fiber College 2014 at this past weekend’s SPA event in Freeport. September can’t come soon enough. :)
